Head Chef - College of Policing, Ryton

Salary: £32600 per annum

Location: Ryton, Coventry 
Hours: 40 per week - predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends
Shifts: Early (7am-2.30pm) and late (10am-8.30pm)

• Lead and inspire a team of 7, creating a motivated, high-performing kitchen culture
• Craft fresh, seasonal, nutritious meals for daily service and special military events
• Oversee full kitchen operations including stock control, ordering, and reducing food waste
• Champion food safety and compliance, ensuring the highest standards are met at all times
• Keep operations running smoothly, using your organisational skills to coordinate schedules and service
• Encourage creativity, fostering an environment where new ideas and culinary passion thrive

You're a hands-on, experienced Head Chef who leads from the front and thrives in a busy, dynamic setting. You bring energy, professionalism, and a genuine love for good food and great teamwork.

You will bring:

• Proven experience in a Head Chef or similar senior kitchen role (essential)
• Relevant catering qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds - desirable)
• Confidence managing and developing a diverse, fast-paced team
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• A passion for delivering fresh, high-quality, seasonal dishes
• Flexibility to work a blend of early and late shifts, including occasional weekends
