What You'll Do

As the EHS Value Stream Manager, you will provide practical, site-wide Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) support across a high-volume, high-hazard manufacturing environment. Working closely with operational teams involved in medical device and membrane manufacturing, you will help drive compliance, reduce risk, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a visible and proactive EHS partner across manufacturing, Facilities, and support functions, ensuring EHS is embedded into everyday operations.
  • Leading and enhancing EHS management systems, supporting ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards through audits, compliance activities, action tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Managing key compliance programmes, including environmental permits, industrial hygiene monitoring, occupational health screening, and regulatory reporting.
  • Driving risk reduction efforts through incident investigations, process safety initiatives, chemical management, management of change processes, contractor control, and environmental compliance.
  • Supporting site resilience by partnering with Facilities and operational teams on statutory inspections, infrastructure projects, business continuity planning, emergency exercises, and improvement programmes.

Who You Are

You are a passionate EHS professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams to create a safe, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

You will bring:

  • A degree in a relevant discipline or a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • A practical, hands-on approach to embedding EHS into day-to-day operations.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively with shopfloor teams, contractors, senior leaders, and regulatory bodies.
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement, using data, audits, investigations, and employee feedback to drive positive change.
  • The ability to coach and influence others, building trust and promoting a strong safety culture.

Desirable Experience

It would be advantageous if you also have experience in:

  • Process Safety
  • Business Continuity Planning
  • Facilities Management
