Position Overview

Role Description

• A technology-oriented development lead is needed to join the RiskFinder team within the Risk, Finance, and Treasury domain, to assist with the implementation of our strategic regulatory risk reporting platform to meet regulatory requirements including Fundamental Review of the Trading Book and Stress Testing across all asset classes in the firm.
• You will have been developer with strong core application programming skills, and good exposure to concepts and/or technology across the broader spectrum, good knowledge of SDLC tooling including git. You will be responsible for a helping engineering leads marshal teams which work across a complex technology stack, including Java, C, C++, Oracle PL/SQL, Python, REST.

Your key responsibilities

• You will be responsible for helping to monitor the quality of developer output, mentoring, and creating training scheduled.
• You will be contributing to component-level solution design in line with the architecture leads.
• You will help teams to estimate and break down development tasks for planning where they have a gap.
• You will be expected to also help drive platform migration onto cloud.
• You will use your broad systems knowledge to push extreme deployment and test automation.

Your skills and experience

• Strong experience in a core compiled (C, C++) or GC language (Java/Scala) and scripting languages (Python)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Some proficiency in some of SQL (PL/SQL), data modelling, Big Data, NoSQL, Strong UNIX, Linux knowledge
• Strong SDLC (GitHub minimum) and tooling experience
• Clear understanding of Cloud (GCP), Security (Key & Certificate Management and Cyber Hygiene (CVE remediation patterns)
• Strong AI delivery

Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.
