The Role:

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of talented engineers building large-scale systems and ML-powered products across recommendations, pricing, search, and related marketplace experiences. In this role, you will help define technical direction, drive execution, and support the growth of a high-performing team delivering solutions at scale. You will partner closely with product, data science, analytics, design, and peer engineering teams to create experiences that improve relevance, personalization, and marketplace performance.

This is a great opportunity for a people-first engineering leader who enjoys developing talent, solving complex technical problems, and balancing near-term delivery with long-term platform and product strategy.

What you will accomplish:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team delivering scalable products and platforms spanning recommendations, pricing, search, and machine learning use cases.

  • Drive execution of key initiatives that improve customer relevance, personalization, and marketplace outcomes while maintaining a high bar for quality, reliability, and operational excellence.

  • Partner with product managers, data scientists, analysts, designers, and engineering groups across functions to define roadmaps, prioritize opportunities, and deliver measurable business impact.

  • Shape the technical vision for your team, guiding architecture, engineering standards, experimentation practices, and production readiness for large-scale distributed and ML-enabled systems.

  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative team culture through coaching, feedback, hiring, and career development, helping individuals grow while strengthening overall team health.

  • Balance short-term delivery goals with long-term investment in platform capabilities, system performance, and maintainability to support innovation at scale.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 2-3+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.

  • Strong technical background in building and operating scalable, distributed systems, with experience in one or more of the following areas: search, recommendations, pricing, machine learning, or other data-intensive applications.

  • Experience leading teams that deliver customer-facing products or platform capabilities using modern engineering practices, strong execution discipline, and measurable outcomes.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.

  • Strong communication and people leadership skills, including coaching, performance management, organizational planning, and the ability to align stakeholders around technical and business priorities.
