Graduate - Equity & Project Finance - based in Luxembourg

The EIB, the European Union's bank, in the framework of its GRAD programme, is seeking to recruit for its EIB Global Directorate, Corporate Finance and Global Activities Department, Equity and Funds Division, Institutional and Strategic Funds Unit at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a Graduate - Equity*.
This is a full time temporary position at grade GRAD.
The term of this contract will be 1 year

Panel interviews are anticipated for June.
You will work in close cooperation with investment officers and portfolio management officers, reporting to the Head of Institutional and Strategic Funds Unit, under the authority of the Head of Division.
Support net asset value reviews, calculations, input and validation in internal systems.
Prepare input for consolidation valuations.
Provide input for valuation risk assessment and valuation files of operations/mandates.
Contribute to preparation of periodic portfolio reviews (PPRs).
Contribute to the production of annual reports for relevant mandates.
Perform various tasks related to the interface between the front office and portfolio management (PMM), including data extraction and analysis, as well as required portfolio-related tasks.
Support the handover process for transferring operations from the front office to PMM.
Support due diligence processes and contribute to the drafting of related approval documentation.
Support in identification, execution and monitoring of investments, primarily through funds but also direct.
Contribute to the preparation of due diligence reports, market analyses and Board reports.
University degree (minimum an equivalent to a Bachelor) ideally in finance, business administration, or other relevant quantitative studies. Additional Post Graduate studies would be an advantage.
A maximum 2 years of professional experience after your most recent graduation (excluding summer jobs and internships shorter than nine months).
Initial relevant professional experience, preferably related to the private equity or venture capital industry, would be considered an asset.
Good analytical skills, knowledge of financial analysis, strong written communication skills as well as experience in data analysis.
Good IT skills (standard Office tools, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Advanced Excel skills (financial modelling, Power Query/Power Pivot) and familiarity with VBA and/or other analytical tools (e.g., Python, SQL) would be an advantage.
Affinity for, and ideally experience with, data management, data analysis and data processing, including relevant tools/platforms.
Excellent knowledge of English. Additional good command of the French is an advantage.
