Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is looking for an Egypt EHS Manager who will lead and manage country-level Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) processes and programs across Safety & Health, Environment, Business Continuity, Sustainability, Asset Conservation, Logistics & Fleet Safety, and Office Safety for our MEA offices, as well as Agriculture Safety & ESG for Egypt. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure compliance with applicable laws, local regulations, and Kraft Heinz policies and procedures; identify and communicate operational risks at the country level; and develop and implement business strategies to mitigate those risks.Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that policies include specific key strategies and that EHS plans are in place for health and safety.
  • Record risk assessments and major hazards occurring at all country operations and support all related activities.
  • Develop inspection and audit programs for all assets; ensure that all safety-related programs, procedures, and systems are implemented across departmental and contracted assets.
  • Ensure that proper safety induction briefings are conducted for all new employees and visitors.
  • Lead health and safety across site operations, external warehouses, fleet, and commercial safety.
  • Develop and implement ORM/EHS strategies at the country level that align with corporate, BU, and zone objectives to reduce and mitigate operational risk.
  • Advise the Operations team on environmental issues and conduct necessary training.
  • Review accident, incident, and non-conformance reports to resolve risk exposures; report findings to the Operations Director; and recommend solutions, improvement opportunities, or preventive measures.
  • Develop and implement workplace health and safety plans in accordance with legal guidelines.
  • Build and develop a team of HSE professionals to meet workload demands.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company EHS standards. Prepare and implement policies to establish a culture of health and safety.
  • Provide operational EHS and safety rules, coaching, and guidance to operational leaders regarding the implementation of EHS rules in their areas.
  • Drive delivery of the EHS plan, including operational, commercial, and safe-travel aspects.
  • Drive the agriculture safety agenda, including ILO and Kraft Heinz ESG regulations and SEDEX audit requirements.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations and ensure the high quality of all investigation reports.
  • Ensure an effective program for auditing and monitoring all activities is in place, and conduct regular site visits.
  • Provide EHS reports and analyses for the site, and maintain the risk management process.
  • Prepare the annual EHS budget and manage all related budget requirements.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security plans and protocols to protect the organization's facilities, assets, and personnel.
  • Support facility security, including individual and asset protection.
  • Support regular BCM assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and areas for improvement.
  • Lead the wastewater treatment plant and effluent management program based on ESG program goals.
  • Support the Middle East & Africa ESG Committee in implementing ESG initiatives in manufacturing and logistics in accordance with BU/Zone targets and strategy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control measures, including access control systems, surveillance systems, alarms, and emergency response plans across all operations sectors.
  • Manage relationships with external service providers, such as wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) operators.
  • Stay updated on emerging security threats, technologies, and best practices to proactively address potential risks.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in science or engineering. A legal course for safety practitioners is a plus.
  • At least 8 years of demonstrated experience in EHS management systems.
  • Strong Knowledge in operations risk management and OSHA standards for industrial and construction environments, Safety Management Systems (SMS), fire safety and firefighting systems, Behavior‑Based Safety (BBS), Emergency management and business continuity, Facility security and food defense, risk assessment, incident investigation and management, construction safety, fleet safety and defensive driving.
  • Knowledge in ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System).
  • NEBOSH IGC (International General Certificate), NEBOSH Diploma, ASP (Associate Safety Professional), CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to simplify complex problems and translate findings into practical actions.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written Arabic and English.
