Job Title Operations Manager Reports into Head of Manufacturing  Role Summary
Ownership of an operations team within the site. Daily delivery of the production plan and targets. Accountable for driving the key performance indicators in the department on safety, quality, cost, performance and team morale.  Key Responsibilities  ·       Leads the continuous improvement of the department on all KPI's·       Ensure compliance with all processes within the department. i.e. operational meetings, SOC reviews, SOP / OPL, etc·       Leads effective root cause analysis process for department with focus on eradicating problems·       Leads the implementation of KHMS pillars within the department·       Delivery of leader standard work with focus on how we grow / improve the department·        Assists with the supervision of the planning, organizing and directing of production activities and employee placement/training/development to cost effectively produce a high quality finished product·        Responsible for coordinating all activities within assigned area of the plant, including manage multiple Production Supervisors·        Accountable for all financial, safety, quality, and regulatory matters in assigned area of the plant·        Ensures all food preparation and packaging is compliant to the guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety regulations·       Manages operations to achieve daily efficiencies in keeping with established standards·        Manage budget of assigned department in accordance with annual productivity improvement targets·       Prepares departmental costs and variances with regard to productivity, short and long-range planning, labour scheduling, product scheduling, raw materials, packaging supplies, product weights, sanitation and housekeeping  Attributes  ·       To be able to communicate ideas, direction and solutions to key stakeholders and direct reports ·       To be able to bounce back after a disappointment or set back, big or small.
