about this team

The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our components are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great product at an exceptional quality level, we also build great relationships.

a day in the life
  • Visually and digitally reviews lab dips to meet colour and colourfastness quality standards
  • Tracks all approvals and rejections in PLM to ensure calendar and buy ready deadlines are met
  • Measures and tracks supplier performance in terms of colour matching, submit turn time, colour quality and communication
  • Travels internationally to work with vendors on colour performance and improve seasonal buy readiness
  • Builds and maintains working relationship with vendors and seeks their expertise
  • Proactively communicates achievability and feasibility concerns to cross functional teams
  • Escalates issues appropriately as they arise and offers solutions and alternatives
  • Attends seasonal accountability meetings to ensure buy readiness
  • Works with cross-functional partners to confirm new materials are achievable in a range of colours and will execute in season


qualifications
  • 2-5 years experience working as a colourist for an apparel brand or textile mill, preferable a sport performance or fashion brand
  • Score of 16 or better on the Munsell 100 Hue Test
  • Knowledge of dye formulas and dyeing techniques
  • Strong digital colour experience in using Datacolor Tools
  • Strong knowledge of fabric construction/finishing properties and how this can affect colour
  • Experience traveling outside of North America, preferable Asia
  • Strong knowledge of industry testing standards/test reports
