about this team

The lululemon Liaison Office (LLO) team is dedicated to ensuring our components are produced of the highest quality, delivered when we need them, and manufactured with partners who share our commitment to elevating the world. Not only do we manage the production of great product at an exceptional quality level, we also build great relationships.

a day in the life
  • Leads complex or high-risk vendor developments across RM vendors, FG vendors, testing facilities, PI, Sourcing, Quality, and Vancouver RM partners.
  • Provides advanced technical judgment on material construction, machinery, testing, mini-bulk readiness, vendor capability, cost, lead time, and commercialization feasibility.
  • Influences vendors to meet should-cost, lead-time, quality, performance, and aesthetic targets while maintaining best-practice development guardrails.
  • Oversees testing strategy, result interpretation, remediation plans, and spec readiness for complex or high-volume materials.
  • Troubleshoots escalated development failures, vendor constraints, construction/material interaction issues, sample-yardage problems, or critical timing risks.
  • Builds vendor capability insight and contributes to vendor capability plans, capability matrices, and long-term execution improvements.
  • Coaches In-Geo team junior members on technical standards, testing discipline, vendor communication, systems accuracy, and escalation quality.
  • Serves as senior working-level counterpart to Vancouver Senior Developers and Managers for complex material-development execution.


qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in textiles or industrial engineering or 10 years+ relevant experience
  • 10+ years experience working in textile development and quality assurance role working directly with mill.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, fluency in English and local language is a must
  • Passion for Textile
  • High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet-research / reporting / analysis tools
  • Ability to travel overseas & domestically.
  • Strong ability to work with the structure of a team, work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • You love to have fun and sweat!
