Full-time

Job Description:

The role operates within the Food & Nutrition Supply Digital Technology team and reports to the Global DT Supply Director. The Director retains accountability for senior business partnership, functional technology strategy, roadmap ownership, prioritisation and investment choices. Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the senior technical lead for the Food & Nutrition Supply and Commercial technology landscape, with particular focus on Planning, Smart Manufacturing and Procurement.

  • Translate the priorities and roadmaps into clear technical options, solution approaches and delivery guardrails.

  • Provide expert advice on technical feasibility, complexity, dependencies, risk, cost and support implications to inform prioritisation and investment decisions.

  • Lead technical discovery, solution design and design assurance across applications, data, integration, cloud, infrastructure and operational technology.

  • Ensure solutions align with Mars enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, privacy, data, integration and service management standards.

  • Provide domain technology leadership across Planning, including Blue Yonder and S&OP / IBP; Smart Manufacturing, including factory data, MES, connected worker and OT / IT integration; and Procurement, including source-to-pay, SAP Ariba and supplier collaboration.

  • Support Product Owners, Project and Programme Managers, engineers and delivery partners to turn approved scope into robust technical plans, designs, estimates, dependencies and acceptance criteria.

  • Assure technical quality through build, integration, testing, deployment, hypercare and transition to operations, resolving or escalating material technical risks and design decisions.

  • Ensure solutions are scalable, resilient, maintainable and supportable, with appropriate monitoring, documentation, lifecycle management and operational ownership.

  • Provide technical leadership to suppliers and system integrators, constructively challenging architectures, estimates and deliverables.

  • Drive simplification, reuse and standardisation across the technology landscape, reducing unnecessary customisation, duplication and technical debt.

  • Build technical capability across the team by coaching Associates and partners, sharing standards and reusable patterns, and facilitating technical communities and design forums.

Education & Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Business Systems or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

  • Relevant architecture, cloud, data, cybersecurity, engineering or Supply Chain technology certification is desirable.

Knowledge / Experience

  • Significant experience in a senior technical lead, solution architect, domain architect, lead engineer or comparable enterprise technology role.

  • Strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes and systems, with depth in Planning, Smart Manufacturing and/or Procurement technologies.

  • Experience translating agreed priorities and roadmaps into technical options, solution designs and implementation approaches.

  • Experience designing and assuring complex solutions spanning applications, data, integration, cloud, cybersecurity and operational support.

  • Knowledge of Planning platforms such as Blue Yonder, Smart Manufacturing / Industry 4.0 technologies, and Procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba.

  • Experience leading technical design reviews, managing technical risks and providing oversight to suppliers and system integrators.

  • Ability to communicate technical trade-offs and recommendations clearly to senior leaders and multi-disciplinary teams.

  • Experience coaching technical practitioners and influencing effectively in a global matrix environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Food, CPG, FMCG, manufacturing or another asset-intensive global organisation.

  • Experience with Mars technology governance, Enterprise Architecture, Cybersecurity, GDO transition, ServiceNow or PMX.

  • Experience balancing global technology standards with regional, market and factory requirements.
