Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational, communication and written skills
  • Financial/statistical research capabilities
  • Strong academic background with good grasp of accounting and financial modeling knowledge
  • Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Proven English, spoken, and written communication
  • Python programming, Power BI & Visual Basic for Applications knowledge is a plus
  • Understanding of cash-flow modeling techniques is a plus
  • Programing/coding skills are desirable 
  • Basic understanding of articial intelligence concepts, with curiosiry and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive effiecny. Interest in exploring AI systems and willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use

Education

  • Students matriculating a degree in economics, finance, accounting, engineering, statistics, actuarial science or similar (e.g. bachelor’s degree, or equivalent qualifications). or business-related discipline
  • Students expected to graduate within the next 12 months
  • The program starts in January 2027

Responsibilities 

  • Provide analytical, statistical and research assistance to junior/senior analysts in various business sectors within the Corporate Finance  for Brazil, contributing to rating-related activities
  • Preparing/Updating financial spreadsheets for entities, including financial spreadsheets, charts, models
  • Reading legal documents and contracts to understand issuance terms, structures, covenants, and guarantees
  • Producing analytical summaries of quantitative and qualitative information for analysts
  • Identifying trends in data and use analytical ability, applying judgment to form well throughout credit conclusions
  • Develop understanding of Moody’s Local methodologies in order to apply to credit analysis
  • Perform certain routine administrative and other ad hoc credit-related tasks as advised by direct supervisor
  • Participating in data science projects where programing/coding skills are desirable

About the team

The intern will support the REG ORG team by assisting with a variety of operational, administrative, and project-related activities that contribute to the success of Moody's Local Brazil. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic corporate environment while collaborating with team members across multiple functions
