Data Specialist (Entity Resolution)

Skills and Competencies 

  • Strong ability to interpret, analyze, and validate complex ownership and entity relationship data 
  • High attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy, integrity, and quality control 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond clearly to client enquiries 
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment 
  • Problem‑solving mindset with a proactive approach to process improvement and operational efficiency 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python and Microsoft Office applications 
  • Knowledge of Databricks or Power BI is considered an asset. 
  • Professional fluency in English and strong proficiency in French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of Dutch is considered an asset.
  • Interest in emerging technologies and willingness to learn how AI-enabled tools can enhance data quality and operational efficiency

Education

  • Bachelor's degree (Bachelor Universitaire/Hogeschool) or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science or related discipline
  • Equivalent experience and qualifications will also be considered
  • Entry-level candidates are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

This role supports entity resolution and data quality initiatives across Moody’s relationship data platforms by developing SQL and Python-based solutions to identify duplicate entities, missing relationships, and data quality issues within ownership datasets.
  • Design, develop, maintain, and enhance SQL and Python solutions to identify duplicate entities, missing relationships, and data quality issues 
  • Extract and interpret trends from data analysis, translating these insights into clear requirements for the software development team to implement. 
  • Collaborate closely with IT professionals and developers to ensure the accurate execution of requirements and to validate the integration of new solutions. 
  • Monitor and verify the outcomes of implemented solutions, ensuring they meet the predefined criteria and do not adversely affect existing data quality. 
  • Continually assess and refine the entity resolution process to enhance data quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in data analysis and entity resolution techniques.
