WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Build and operate scalable HPC platforms on AWS for scientific and analytical workloads.
Manage and support enterprise application platforms, including configuration, monitoring, user access, and operational maintenance.
Build and support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS/ECS).
Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Ansible, and GitOps practices.
Design secure network architectures and cloud connectivity solutions.
Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.z
Manage IAM, encryption, secrets, compliance controls, and platform lifecycle.
Drive performance optimization and cloud cost efficiency.
Learn and become the subject matter expert for the Posit ecosystem (Workbench, Connect, Package Manager) and related R/Python environments.

 

SKILLS & CAPABILITIES:

-Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
-5-8 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, HPC operations, or platform engineering.
-Experience in regulated environments or Life Sciences is an advantage.
-Strong stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
-Ability to work independently.
-GxP awareness is a plus.

MUST HAVE:

-Administer and optimize SaaS and self-hosted technology solutions, ensuring availability, performance, security, and compliance.
-R/Python runtime and package management.
-Troubleshoot application, platform, and environment-related issues across development and production environments.
-Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
-Ansible configuration management.
-Experience with HPC, distributed computing, and workload schedulers (Slurm, AWS Batch, AWS ParallelCluster).
-High-performance storage technologies including FSx for Lustre and NFS.
-Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), including autoscaling and Helm.
-Strong AWS expertise including EC2, S3, EBS, EFS, ECS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, and Route53.
-Networking, security, DNS, load balancing, and VPC architecture.
-Cloud cost optimization practices.
-Python and Bash scripting.
-Linux administration and performance tuning.
-Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release management.


NICE TO HAVE:

-Software engineering principles, testing, and code quality.
-Backend development experience in Python, Node.js, Java, or similar technologies.
-API development and distributed services integration.
-GPU computing experience.
-Knowledge of GitLab CI/CD, PBS, Nextflow, Snakemake, Airflow, or NoSQL databases.
-Experience in regulated or Life Sciences environments.

Compensation:
Poland: no less than PLN 21,800 per month.
Portugal: no less than EUR 5,800 per month.
