The Opportunity

Working in our office in Barcelona and reporting to the Global Network Services Director, the Network Graduate must ensure that all PUIG sites have the right connectivity to allow all PUIG users to perform their job without any service disruption.

Multi tasked and proactive, she/he is always working on different topics and sometimes in situation of emergency.

What you'll get to do

  • Provide and maintain the connectivity of all PUIG users and business and guarantee access to global corporative resources from all PUIG sites.
    • Strong knowledge of system architecture and the ability to troubleshoot complex routing, switching, and forwarding issues on routing and switching platforms mainly based on Cisco or HP equipment.
    • Experience with IP routing protocols like BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN and WAN and Layer 2 switching technologies and related WAN technologies like MPLS.
    • Knowledge of Cisco IP technologies like QoS, ACLs, multicast, security, etc. IP Convergence and Cisco Enhancements to DDOS Fast Convergence and Traffic Mitigation Techniques.
    • Experience with CISCO WLAN platforms for IT and OR environments
    • Perimetral security (Fortinet) with FW functionalities, URL Filtering, Application Control and IPS

Experience:

Experience in Network Management Projects. Experience in ticket management. 

Education:

Degree in Engineering or similar.

Languages:

English and Spanish required. French appreciated.

Competencies:

  • Experience in configuration and maintenance of network devices and firewalls
  • Experience learning software, frameworks and APIs
  • Experience developing and understanding network device configuration for at least one vendor (Juniper, Cisco, HP, Aruba,etc.)
  • Experience understanding and troubleshooting network hardware and topology failures
