Join Reckitt's Global Engineering Team and take ownership of developing and deploying global hygienic design standards for production equipment and facilities. This role is key to ensuring compliance, quality, and operational excellence across all manufacturing sites worldwide. 

About the role

You will act as a global technical expert (SME) responsible for hygienic design standards across processing and filling operations. The role involves working in a global matrix organisation, driving standardisation, and supporting CAPEX projects across multiple regions. 

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy global hygienic design standards for production equipment and facilities. 
  • Drive standardisation of equipment and vendor base to improve efficiency, compliance, and cost. 
  • Define technical requirements (URS) incorporating hygienic design principles.  
  • Ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements (FDA, EU, etc.).  
  • Support CAPEX projects including vendor selection, FAT/SAT, and validation.  
  • Provide technical expertise in processing systems, utilities (HVAC, purified water), and cleaning systems (CIP/SIP).  
  • Collaborate with Quality, Microbiology, Engineering, and external vendors. 
  • Monitor equipment performance and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Act as a global "go-to" expert for hygienic design. 

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical or related field) or equivalent Technical experience and knowledge.
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, including CAPEX involvement.  
  • Experience in FMCG, pharmaceutical or biotech environments.  
  • Strong knowledge of hygienic design and processing technologies.  
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge of engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD).  
  • Project and vendor management skills.
  • Strong understanding of GMP and regulatory requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to influence in a matrix organisation. 
  • Strong compliance and quality mindset.
  • Collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
