Reporting to the IT&D Genesis Product Manager, the Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the Genesis Procurement transformation programme. The role is responsible for detailed documentation and validation of business and functional requirements, supporting testing activities, and preparing high-quality training and enablement materials to support successful adoption of Genesis products. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with Product Managers, developers, data scientists, and Procurement stakeholders to translate business needs into clear user stories, process flows, and functional specifications. The role ensures solutions are well documented, thoroughly tested, and user-ready, enabling smooth deployment and sustainable value realisation.
Requirements & Documentation
• Lead detailed elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements.
• Document user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Maintain clear and structured documentation aligned to agile and product delivery standards.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements, user stories, and delivered functionality.
Testing & Quality Assurance
• Support test planning, scenario definition, and execution of system, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate delivered functionality against requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate defect triage with development teams and support resolution and retesting.
Training and Enablement
• Prepare training materials, user guides, SOPs, and quick reference documentation.
• Support delivery of training sessions and knowledge transfer to business users.
• Ensure end-user documentation reflects final solution design and operating model.
Product & Delivery Support
• Support the Product Manager in backlog refinement, sprint preparation, and delivery planning.
• Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and delivery teams.
• Support governance, status reporting inputs, and stakeholder communications where required.
Essential
• Knowledge of Procurement and/or Source-to-Pay processes.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within digital, data, or transformation programmes.
• Strong experience documenting requirements using user stories, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Experience supporting testing activities including UAT and defect management.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear documentation.
Desirable
• 8+ years of Experience working in Agile or product-led delivery environments.
• Exposure to AI, analytics, or automation-enabled solutions.
• Experience supporting enterprise change or transformation initiatives.
Technical / Professional Qualifications:
Essential
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience using delivery and collaboration tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
Desired
• Certification or training in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA).
• Certification or training in Agile / Scrum methodologies.
