As an Event Product Manager, you will treat the event as a business product, owning its strategy, customer value proposition, market positioning, growth, and long-term performance. The role extends beyond event execution and focuses on driving sustainable business outcomes for a portfolio of B2B events.
This role focuses on business and product management rather than operational event production. The PM will be working on develop and implement short, medium, and long-term strategies for the event ensuring alignment with RX's growth objectives and industry needs.
Responsibilities
Product Management: Oversee all phases of the event lifecycle, including planning, positioning, branding, execution, and performance analysis.
Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with exhibitors, sponsors, associations, and sector entities, fostering partnerships and strategic alignment for each event.
Market Analysis: Track market trends, participant behavior, and industry innovations to identify opportunities for expansion and improvement.
Budget Management: Control event budgets, ensuring project revenue, profitability and financial sustainability.
Team Leadership: Lead and guide cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, operations), fostering collaboration and alignment in event execution.
Reports and Metrics: Monitor event KPIs, conduct performance analyses, and present reports and insights to senior management.
Project Management: Create and track a schedule of activities for event organization, including all supporting areas such as sales, marketing, operations.
Contacts
External relations: Suppliers, Press agents, Public Bodies, Associations, Exhibitors and Pavilions.
Local internal relations: Marketing, Sales, Customer Journey, IT, Finance, Purchasing and HR.
Requirements
Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in B2B product management, events, or related field.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong skills in operational planning, project management, cost control, and supplier management with an analytical and results-driven mindset.
Experience managing relationships with industry stakeholders, including sponsors and associations.
ERP systems knowledge (preferably Oracle).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
