The Role…

At Soho House, as a Cinema Projectionist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining projection equipment that is used to show movies or other audio-visual presentations at the Electric Cinema Screening room.

Key duties…

  • Operate all technical aspects of the cinema, including projection and sound systems
  • Run daily screenings to Soho House’s high presentation standards
  • Maintain projection, sound, and auditorium equipment to ensure smooth operation
  • Manage content delivery and licensing for all screenings and events
  • Support A/V set-ups across the site, including DJ decks and microphones
  • Assist with private events, liaising with clients and management to deliver exceptional experiences
  • Oversee guest check-ins and support the box office team as needed
  • Ensure all cinema areas remain clean, safe, and well-presented at all times
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including fire marshal responsibilities
  • Provide excellent service and communication to members, guests, and the wider team

What we are looking for...

  • Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity
  • Cinema projection and presentation
  • Basic customer service experience
  • IT and networking
  • Audio/Visual equipment – Microphones, mixing desks, vision mixers, audio connections (such as coaxial, XLR)
  • Use of different types of video files/codecs (ProRes, H264/H265, MP4, DCP)
  • Use of different types of AV connections (HDMI, DP, VGA)

The salary range for this role if filled within the UK is listed below. The range for the position in different geographies may vary based on market differences.
