Job Summary

Join our Loans and Agency team and play a critical role in supporting complex syndicated loan transactions across their lifecycle. As an Associate, Loans and Agency, you will act as a key point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring the seamless execution of new deals, amendments, repayments, and ongoing portfolio management activities.

This role offers the opportunity to work at the heart of corporate lending operations, collaborating with a diverse range of stakeholders across the bank while driving operational excellence, mitigating risk, and delivering outstanding client service. You will contribute to strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, strengthen controls, and enhance the overall client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of syndicated loan and agency transactions throughout their lifecycle.
• Take ownership of new transactions, including deal onboarding, amendments, repayments, and transaction maintenance.
• Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients, lenders, and internal stakeholders.
• Respond to client and stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner, escalating issues where appropriate.
• Act as a subject matter expert on complex transactions and provide guidance to stakeholders.
• Drive operational efficiency through continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
• Manage daily workflows to ensure transactions are processed accurately and within agreed service levels.
• Support the implementation of automation, process optimisation, and risk reduction initiatives.
• Contribute to management information reporting and operational performance tracking.
• Build strong partnerships across Front Office, Transaction Management Group, Operations teams, and support functions.
• Foster effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve service delivery.

Skills and Experience

Essential Experience
- Experience in corporate lending, syndicated loans, agency services, banking operations, or a related financial services environment.
- Understanding of loan lifecycle events, transaction processing, and operational controls.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
