Head, Transaction Banking, Cash Management Business Risk Management, for the Americas directs and oversees front to back management of all applicable principal risks and underlying sub risks, with a focus on the following: Operational, Cyber, Compliance and Financial Crime (including Fraud) for the Cash business within Transaction Banking (TB). The role reports directly to the Head of Control and Control (TB Americas). There are no matrix reporting lines applicable. This role focuses on end-to-end TB Cash risk controls, reporting, governance and supervision. The primary requirements of the role are listed in the next section below.
• Act as the voice, eyes and ears of the Head of Cash Management Product and Operations, Americas, and for the TB Business Head, Head of Conduct and Control (TB Americas) for all matters related to TB Risk for the Americas.
• Actively participate in identification, management and decision-making for all applicable risks within both the Cash Product and Cash Operations activities within TB Cash
• Oversee the effective design and execution of controls within the Americas, including identification of gaps and remediation of issues, elevating residual risk where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the 1LOD Cash Risk function within the Americas, including the proactive management of control check hubbing, driving the ongoing Operational Risk Framework rollouts and the rationalization of existing checks for Cash as required.
• Ensure continued country oversight and ownership of hubbed checks and processes.
• Drive and support best practices and create efficiencies, including in the areas of risk logging, data accuracy, standardisation and reduction of Business risk packs, issue identification, etc.
• Build and maintain an effective and constructive relationship with all key business and functional stakeholders that is based on trust, capability and integrity, providing timely, responsive and quality risk management for advice and guidance to enable the TB Cash Management business and related support functions to meet / achieve their tactical and strategic objectives.
• Comply with and cascade the TB Conduct and Supervision agendas amongst Cash teams in the Americas, ensuring timely and effective delivery against both in line with Group TB and Cash Management Scorecard targets to promote an enhanced culture of good Conduct.
• Work with the front-to back peer review process and prioritization for Cash Management in the Americas. Ensure completion of the appropriate level of peer review, audit and risk event ripples to countries in cluster / region to support development of best practice awareness, and, where appropriate to regions outside of Cash Management via Head of Conduct & Control TB Americas and indirectly COO Cash Management, Americas
• Coordinate with key stakeholders including Group TB OTCR, Country OTCRR, CFCR, and the TB Business in the Americas to increase transparency and share key learnings and best practices.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the business model and strategy in order to provide substantive oversight support and challenge in order to enable appropriate and sustainable TB Cash Management outcomes.
Risk Management
• Drive first line ownership of risk to ensure teams understand the key risks, how they manifest in our controls / processes and how the controls are implemented and managed.
• Responsible for ensuring a framework is in place for the timely identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting and escalation of risk for TB Cash Management in the Americas, including the identification and escalation of thematic and horizon risks and the implementation of appropriate controls to mitigate those risks.
• Be the 'go-to' person for the Business with regards to the escalation of all operational and other risk-related incidents / queries / events that arise within the region. Support EA regional TB Cash COO, TB Cash Business and Operations Heads within the Americas in developing front-to-back risk awareness and ownership across the TB Cash business for all applicable principal risk types and sub-risks aligned to the business.
• Provide structured guidance towards improving Control Environment Grades (CEG) and Management Control Approach (MCA) ratings from GIA for TB Cash in the Americas
• Create and maintain complete, accurate and targeted metrics to allow the Head of Conduct and Control, TB Americas, TB Cash Business Head and the Country Cash COO to constantly assess the control environment and residual risk profile.
• Oversee the effective design and execution of controls within the Americas, including identification of gaps and remediation of issues, elevating residual risk where appropriate.
• Oversee the management of Risk Events in country, driving the right level of awareness, clarity and transparency with regards to the creation of Risk Events and the production of Root Cause Reports for the Americas. Tightly govern delivery of all remedial actions to plan.
• Conduct regular dialogue with the TB Cash audit teams to better understand their focus and view of risk issues relevant to TB Cash. Work with the Country Risk teams and TB Cash Heads to avoid audit fails and improve results.
• Provide input to relevant Cash Risk committees and forums related to risk in the region, escalating issues, concerns or events as appropriate.
• Coordinate and discuss Residual Risk Assessments with Country Risk owners, Process owners and Risk Framework owners
• Coordinate all Internal and external Audits covering TB Cash Management (Product, Operations and Risk)
• Coordinate all CFCR 2LOD Assurance Reviews
• Ensure that the TB Cash Management Conduct framework is fully understood and featured as a standing agenda item at Country/Regional TB Cash Business Risk Forums

Expected annual base pay range for the role is 141,600 USD to 212,300 USD. The final offer will be determined on an individualised basis using a number of variables, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and education, internal relativity, and specific work location.
