Join our team in Brno and take ownership of a global procurement category supporting advanced technology products.

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will develop and execute the sourcing strategy for Particle Optics Detection Modules, working closely with suppliers and internal teams around the world. Your focus will be on building strong supplier partnerships, securing supply, improving cost and performance, and supporting technology innovation.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and execute the global category and sourcing strategy for Particle Optics and Detection Modules.
  • Build strategic supplier relationships focused on innovation, quality, cost, delivery, and supply continuity.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFPs, negotiations, and contracts.
  • Monitor supply markets and identify risks, opportunities, and emerging trends.
  • Partner with R&D, Operations, Product Management, and other stakeholders to support technology and business roadmaps.
  • Manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Use data and market insights to identify cost optimization and risk-reduction opportunities.
  • Provide procurement and market insights to support key business decisions.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, or supplier management.
  • Experience managing a technical category or commodity in an international environment.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a global, matrixed organization.

Experience with highly technical products, optics, electronics, precision components, or related technologies is an advantage.

What’s in It for You

We offer a competitive total rewards package, including base salary, annual incentive plan, comprehensive healthcare, company pension, and a wide range of employee benefits.

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you’ll work in an innovative, forward-thinking environment that values Integrity, Intensity, Involvement, and Innovation. You’ll have the autonomy to lead global strategies, influence business outcomes, and grow your career with purpose — all while contributing to a mission that makes a real difference in the world.
