5 Everyday Nutrition Tips

1. Eat more eggs!

It’s a myth that eggs are bad for you because of their cholesterol. Most people’s cholesterol isn’t affected by eggs. More accurately, eggs are referred to as “nature’s vitamin”. They are full of nutrients – the yolk too!

2. Diets don’t work

Don’t deprive yourself of food! It’s well known that dieting is one of the strongest predictors for future weight gain. Instead of taking food away, replace it with healthier alternatives – eat well, not less!

3. Get rid of your belly

Fat in your abdominal cavity can be problematic for your organs and is strongly linked to metabolic disease. Eat less carbs, more protein and heaps of fibre to silm down around your waist.

4. Track what you’re eating

Use an app like MyFitnessPal or Cron-o-meter to help keep track of what exactly you’re eating everyday. Count how many calories you’re eating, but also see if you’re getting enough protein, fibre and micronutrients.

5. Make time for your friends

Make sure your social life isn’t falling by the wayside! Having a healthy relationship with friends and family is not only good for your mental health, but studies have shown it’s good for your physical health as well.
