1. Use herbs and spices

There are lots of healthy herbs and spices you can use. Ginger and turmeric both have potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. Try and use a variety of herbs and spices, many of them can have powerful beneficial effects on your health.

2. Avoid trans fats

Artificial trans fats are incredibly unhealthy and are strongly linked to inflammation and heart disease – avoid them at all costs!

3. Lift weights

Lifting weights is incredibly beneficial to your health while strengthening your body and body composition. It can also improve your metabolic health, and insulin sensitivity.

4. Saturated fats aren’t all bad

While saturated fats can raise cholesterol, they also raise HDL (“good” cholesterol), and are linked to a lower risk of heart disease. In fact, many new studies have found there is no link between saturated fat consumption and heart disease.

5. Avoid refined carbs

Refined carbohydrates are highly processed and have had all the fibre removed from them. They are low in nutrients, are empty calories, and can be extremely harmful.
