40 years after their last performance, despite vowing they wouldn't perform again, ABBA is back with an announcement that took us all by surprise.
ABBA Voyage will be the first new music by the band in 40 years as Anni-Frid, Agnetha, Benny and Bjorn return to the stage to perform hits - new and old. A specially-built stadium in East London will be constructed for 3000 ABBA fans to come together and sing and dance like it was 1979 all over again, including visuals created in partnership with George Lucas' special effects company.
The famous four have undergone motion-capture, enabling producers to beam them up onto the screens as ABBA across the ages, in some of their most iconic outfits.
Papers reported last year that the group were getting back together after they were spotted at a studio in Ealing, rumoured to be working on new hits. We now know that that new album, ABBA Voyage, will release on the 5th of November with a host of new hits. You can check out the two teasers, "Don't Shut Me Down" and "I Still Have Faith in You" over on their Youtube channel here.
The full livestream is also available on their page, outlining what ABBA fans can expect to see over the coming year. Tickets go on pre-sale shortly and are expected to be gone almost as quickly as they arrive - you best get on it quickly if you want to go and get your dancing queen on along with the rest of ABBA's fans later this year!
