During the first week of June, our iBelong employee-led DEI committee marked the start of Pride Month by raising the Pride Flag - an important and visible symbol of our commitment to inclusion, diversity, and respect for all - at both our Gasworks Road (Cork) and NSC (Dublin) offices.
This moment not only recognised the LGBTQ+ community but also reaffirmed our dedication to fostering a workplace where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves, with many allies showing their support.
The Pride flag raising represents more than a ceremonial gesture. It stands for solidarity with our colleagues, clients, and communities, and underscores our ongoing support for equality and human rights. It also serves as a reminder of the progress made, while highlighting the continued importance of promoting understanding, challenging discrimination, and building an inclusive culture.
By coming together for this occasion, we demonstrated that inclusion is not just a value we speak about, but one we actively uphold in our everyday actions.
Finally, as part of Pride Month, we also encourage colleagues to explore the supports available, including the NeuroQueer Guide, which provides valuable insights and resources at the intersection of neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ identities. This is key for iBelong as we look to take an intersectional approach to what we do this year. For more resources check out supports in your local area.
