Broad City star Abbi Jacobson and Jodi Balfour are married

Abbi Jacobson and her fiancé Jodi Balfour are officially off the market.

In 2021, the two lovebirds caught everyone’s attention when they proclaimed their relationship on social media.

“One year with this incredible human. Don’t know how I got so lucky,” Jacobson shared on Instagram along with a sweet photo of the pair.”

A year later, the Disenchanted star revealed her engagement to the South African actress during a 30th-anniversary Cinespia screening of A League of Their Own, according to People.

Since then, Jacobson and Balfour have kept the details and date of their wedding under wraps… until now.

According to ‘Gay Times’, on 5 June, the loving couple announced they finally got married with a heartwarming Instagram post that documented their special day – exclusively covered by Cultured Magazine.

In one photo, Jacobson and Balfour, dressed in black and white dresses from The Row, share their first kiss as a married couple.

Another snapshot provided an inside look at the dance-heavy reception held at Public Records, including the moment their mothers joined in the hora dance.

Finally, the adorable Instagram carousel included behind-the-scenes shots of the pair putting on their stunning gowns as they beamed with excitement.

When reflecting on their romantic evening, Jacobson told Cultured Mag that their ceremony was initially planned to be outside before they chose to “pivot.”

“It was such a kismet, because the ceremony was not what we expected, but it was exactly what we’d hoped for,” she explained.

“People were packed together. When we looked out at the audience, our friends were on stools, peeking through the plants and sitting on top of booths. I’ve never been to a wedding like that.”

Balfour shared similar feelings and spoke fondly of their reception.

“It really was one of those nights. We were in a dark wooden room with no windows, an insane sound system, and a disco ball. Everyone’s nice clothes became wet rags,” she remembered.

“People were smoking who don’t smoke. Our moms did the hora. It was like we all existed in a different dimension for a while.”
