‘Community’ Star Alison Brie Seemingly Comes Out As Bisexual

February 22, 2023

‘Community’’s Annie Edison, Alison Brie, recently took part in a video sit-down with her husband, actor Dave Franco, and seemed to casually imply that she's bisexual.

According to ‘CBR’, Brie and Franco appeared on BuzzFeed Celebs in a video titled “Dave Franco and Alison Brie Read Thirsty Tweets.” The pair is depicted reading Tweets thirsting over them, but one notable moment came when Brie read a message featuring the topic of bisexuality. The Tweet read, “Listen, I am bisexual for a reason, and that reason is strictly to be used in a threesome by Dave Franco and Alison Brie.” The pair responded to this text by performing a high-five, before Brie came out with, “That’s also why I’m bisexual.” Franco jokingly replied, “You’ve been waiting for this tweet from someone you don’t know who they are or what they look like?” Brie laughed and eventually replied, “Yeah.” While Brie seemed to use a level of humorous ambiguity, the comment has evoked an array of emotional responses on Twitter.

There were plenty of stand-out moments in the video besides Brie’s comments on her sexuality. One particular highlight came during Franco’s response to the tweet, “Dave Franco please murder my bussy.” He was confused by the term before Brie jumped in to educate him on its meaning. After some laughter, Brie confessed where she had first heard it, claiming that “I only know this from Peloton,” before citing the ‘Las Culturistas’ podcast as the real origin of where she learned the phrase.

Besides her starring role as Annie Edison in the sitcom ‘Community’, Brie has also played significant parts in other notable projects. She played the lead character Ruth Wilder in Netflix’s ‘GLOW’, a series inspired by the real-life wrestling promotion of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling from the 1980s. The series was unexpectedly canceled before its fourth season. She also voiced Diane Nguyen in the animated Netflix show ‘Bojack Horseman, a fact she has been open about regretting as she did not match the character’s overt racial coding. Franco is known for his appearances in movies such as ‘The Disaster Artist’, ‘Bad Neighbors’, ‘Now You See Me’, ’21 Jump Street’ and more.

Brie and Franco recently collaborated on a film, with the couple taking co-writer credits and Franco directing. It is titled ‘Somebody I Used to Know’ and features a performance from her former ‘Community’ co-star Danny Pudi, who played the role of Abed Nadir in the NBC comedy show. The movie is available to watch on Prime Video.
