Disney’s New Animated Series ‘The Owl House’ Stars An Out Bisexual Girl

Disney’s new animated series ‘The Owl Girl’ stars an out bisexual girl, the Disney Channel has confirmed.

Luz Noceda, a 14-year-old Dominican-American girl, is the main character in the new series ‘The Owl House’.

As ‘LGBTQ Nation’ reports, in an episode last week Luz was aked to a dance by another girl who “framed in such a way that it’s fairly clear her feelings are more than platonic,” wrote Julie Muncy.

On Twitter, ‘Owl House’ creator Dana Terrace confirmed that Luz is bi.

She said that Disney at first told her that she “could NOT represent any form of bi or gay relationship on the Channel.”

“Luckily my stubbornness paid off and now I am VERY supported by current Disney leadership,” she wrote on Twitter. Terrace is herself bi.

On Twitter, Alex Hirsch, the creator of the Disney series ‘Gravity Falls’, said that Disney “FORBADE me from any explicit LGBTQ+” representation.

“Apparently ‘happiest place on earth’ meant ‘straightest’ But as of today, thanks to @DanaTerrace & team there are explicitly queer ANIMATED MAIN CHARACTERS on DISNEY TV. Im so proud & happy to say that #OwlHouse” Hirsch wrote.
