Diversity in Action

“This year, our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) have shown once again that inclusion isn’t just a deep cultural drive at Premier Foods, it’s a catalyst for progress and change. I’m incredibly proud of the impact our ERGs have had on our people, our culture and our business. Our Gender ERG has strengthened representation by welcoming more younger male colleagues and opening up vital conversations about men’s mental health and parenting responsibilities. Their insight, combined with the powerful findings from a recent survey, also helped shape the introduction of our new IVF policy.

Origins continues to shine a light on young Black talent, contributing to increased ethnic attraction and recruitment, and it was a proud moment seeing Jess and Richard take to the Live Lab stage at Diversity in Grocery (DIG) Conference, showcasing the strength of partnership between ERG Leads and Sponsors. AccessABLE have deepened our collective understanding of neurodiversity, amplified by a surge of allies, many of them parents, and the new #oktobeme books recently added to our library, which offer moving reflections on childhood neurodivergent experiences and their impact in adulthood. Finally #oktoproud has stood firmly for inclusion across the LGBTQIA+ community, navigating a challenging social climate with compassion and courage. For example by partnering with AccessABLE working to create inclusive facilities for new projects or refurbishment at our sites.

One of the most meaningful highlights for me has been the ERG Roadshows. Connecting directly with colleagues across our sites has created powerful moments of understanding and human connection. The 1:1 conversations, the stories shared, the engagement in activities and the trust built reminds me daily that cultural change happens one conversation, one person, one brave story at a time. I am deeply humbled and immensely proud of everything our ERGs continue to achieve.”
