Laïla El-Métoui, summit organizer, emphasized the significance of empowering and supporting LGBTQ+ staff, not only for individuals themselves but also for the organizations they work for.

"Challenges for LGBTIQA+ are numerous and immense in countries where we are being criminalized,” said Laïla. Despite severe legislative constraints, it's crucial for global organizations to identify what they can do to try to mitigate risks and offer support."

The summit will commence with a Networking Lunch at 12:00 PM, where attendees will have the opportunity to connect and build meaningful relationships. Following this, Kamran Khan will deliver the Opening Address at 1:00 PM, providing a recap of key insights from Summit 1 and setting the stage for a day of enlightening dialogue and learning.

Gurchaten Sandhu, the Director of Programme at ILGA World, will share important updates on regional developments and initiatives at 1:20 PM. Meanwhile, Arlene McDermott, Head of Business Management at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), will delve into the practical application of the Embassy Model, offering valuable insights for attendees.

One of the summit's many highlights will be a panel discussion featuring James McFazdean and other corporate organizations, where stimulating conversations surrounding the support of LGBTQ+ communities will take place.

Throughout the day, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with various speakers and participate in workshops covering a range of topics. Yasmin Benoit's Keynote Presentation on Asexuality Inclusion in Policies will shed light on the latest research findings on asexuality, emphasizing its crucial role in modern inclusive policies. Additionally, Bobbi Pickard, founder of Trans in the City, will explore the experiences of trans and non-binary individuals in the SWANA region, increasing understanding and awareness.

The summit will also provide a thought-provoking workshop on Navigating Intersex at Work, led by Anick Soni. This session aims to promote understanding of intersex individuals within a SOGIESC (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Expression, and Sex Characteristics) framework, particularly in regions where LGBTQ+ communities face criminalization.

As the day progresses, attendees will have numerous networking opportunities, with a Round Table Discussion at 4:30 PM allowing for reflection on key takeaways from the event and a collective charting of future initiatives.

The Embassy Model Summit 2 concludes at 5:00 PM with a renewed commitment to fostering diversity and inclusivity.

The event presents a unique platform for individuals dedicated to making a positive impact within their organizations and communities. Whether attendees are seasoned professionals or new to their careers, the summit offers invaluable opportunities to gain knowledge, develop skills, and forge meaningful connections with industry leaders.
