At Fiserv, we recognise that our greatest asset is our people, and we are committed to fostering an environment that promotes continuous learning and professional development. To support our employees in reaching their full potential, we have an extensive mentoring programme, alongside a robust array of learning opportunities accessible through our internal learning platform, Xchange.

The foundation of Fiserv’s success lies in our culture of learning and support, where employees feel empowered to thrive in their careers. Our mentoring programme is designed to create meaningful connections that encourage knowledge sharing and personal growth. Mentees can choose their own mentors based on their needs, leveraging the diverse experiences within our organisation to inspire and motivate one another.
There are three different types of mentor relationships under this programme, and mentees select the ones that suit their needs and align with their individual goals: Career Mentor
Focuses on providing guidance related to career advancement and professional development.
Leadership Development Mentor
Aims to enhance leadership skills and strategic thinking for future leadership roles.
Peer Coach
Facilitates mutual support and collaboration among peers to share experiences and best practices.
Here is additional information about each mentor role: Career Mentor:
Teacher – helps the mentee learn new skills or provides specific knowledge.
Informer – shares specific information.
Advisor – provides advice based on personal experience.
Leadership Development Mentor:
Connector – introduces the mentee to others and opens up new channels.
Sponsor – helps the mentee gain visibility and exposure.
Peer Coach:
Supporter – acts as a sounding board and provides support.
Participating in the mentoring programme offers numerous benefits to both mentors and mentees:
Mentees gain access to valuable insights, professional guidance, and a broader perspective on career development. They have the opportunity to learn from the experiences of their mentors and develop new skills that align with their career aspirations.
Becoming a mentor provides the chance to give back, reinforce their own skills, and enhance leadership qualities. Mentors find fulfilment in nurturing talent and contributing to the growth of their colleagues.
In addition to the mentoring programme, Fiserv offers a variety of learning opportunities accessible through Xchange, our internal platform. Here, employees can explore:
Technical Skills Development, with courses focused on enhancing technical expertise, covering software training, programming languages, and data analytics.
Personal and Professional Growth: Xchange offers tailored learning paths, mentoring opportunities, skill development workshops, networking events, and feedback tools, empowering employees to enhance their skills, connect with peers, and achieve their personal and professional goals.
Industry Knowledge, with resources that provide insights into the latest trends and developments in the financial services and technology sectors.
To further support our employees, Fiserv offers specialised instructor-led training sessions designed to enhance awareness of diversity and foster a more inclusive workplace. These training programmes cover critical topics, including:
Conscious Inclusion and Diversity Training, which raises awareness of biases that can influence workplace dynamics and emphasises the importance of diversity and inclusion. By enabling employees to recognise and mitigate unconscious biases, we cultivate a supportive culture that values diverse perspectives and fosters a more equitable environment.
We are pleased with the potential the mentoring programme holds in shaping the future of our workforce. We believe that mentoring is an invaluable opportunity for personal and professional development, and we are committed to ensuring our employees have the resources and support they need to succeed. With opportunities to grow, we can transform the experience of our employees and clients.
