Figure Skaters Eric Radford and Luis Fenero Marry in Spain

Figure skaters Luis Fenero, who represented Spain, and Eric Radford, who represented Canada, have revealed they tied the knot in a special ceremony in Spain on July 11, reports OutSports.

In 2018, Radford became the first openly gay man to win a gold medal at the Olympics.

Figure skating Olympians Dylan Moscovitch and Patrick Chan were also guests at the wedding.

“Words can never explain just how incredible the last few days have been. An amount of love I could’ve never imagined and a wedding day I could’ve never dreamed,” wrote Radford in an Instagram post after the wedding.

He proposed to Fenero two years previously, writing at the time: “I’ve learned that the best things in life have a level of simplicity to them.

“I see it in art, I hear it in music and I feel it with this man. Loving him is simple and beautiful.

“The feeling of freedom and joy I had flying over the mountains is the same feeling I have when I think of life with @luis_febi …and I want to feel that forever so… I asked him to marry me and he said yes!!”

The pair honeymooned in Greece.
