A gay couple have been the victims of a homophobic assault on the tube, reports the London Evening Standard.
The two men were on a Hammersmith and City train when they asked a woman to move her bag from a seat so they could sit next to each other. The woman then began hurling homophobic abuse at the pair before throwing a cup of hot coffee on them. She then punched one of them in the face.
One of the men was left with a swollen lip and minor injuries to his arm. The woman left the train at Bromley-by-Bow station.
Police have released the above image and have asked anyone who witnessed the event, or anyone who knows the woman, to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 143 of 9/08/18.
