Golda Rosheuvel, star of ‘Bridgerton’, shared her experience of falling in love with a woman for the first time on a new podcast hosted by Cush Jumbo from ‘The Good Wife’, ‘Yahoo! News’ reports.
Cush Jumbo launched her new Sony podcast, Origins with Cush Jumbo, focusing on stars’ coming-of-age stories.
In the first episode, when asked by the 38-year-old podcast host if there were “women throwing themselves at you at school,” Rosheuvel confessed she hadn’t identified as gay during her younger years.

“No, there weren't actually,” replied the Queen Charlotte actress. “I only kind of discovered my sexuality when I went to drama school.”
Rosheuvel also spoke about the relatable experience of dating a guy who later turned out to be gay. “He's now gay… I'm sure he is still,” she joked.
She also discussed her first relationship with a woman. “I fell in love with a woman who was touring in another production,” she recalled. “We met in this random German town, and when both productions connected, I remember thinking, Oh, hello. We held hands and talked, trying to maintain a long-distance relationship. She was American.”
After Jumbo described the relationship with the American as “exotic,” Rosheuvel shared how, despite their religious backgrounds, her family supported her upon coming out.
She first told her brother, whose response was, “Let's cook some food,” and later informed her mother, who was organising a Christian choir when she met her father, who became an Anglican priest.
Jumbo noted that “on paper,” one might assume they wouldn't be supportive.
“Because my parents were just wonderful people of the world, Cush, do you know what I mean? Me being gay was just, you know, my mum, of course, they're your parents,” Rosheuvel reflected. “She was like, oh, you know, I'm a bit worried, but because they want the best for you, do you know what I mean?”
