Gypsy Rose Blanchard “experimented” with her sexuality: “I’ve kissed more girls than I have guys”

June 13, 2024

Gypsy Rose Blanchard is opening up about her experiences with sexuality.

In the second episode of her Lifetime series, ‘Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up,’ the 32-year-old shared details about her exploration of her sexuality during her time in prison, as ‘Page Six’ writes.

Discussing womanhood, she reflected, “A big part of womanhood is learning to become comfortable with their sexuality, and for years I wasn’t.” Recalling her teenage years, she admitted, “For a long time, I questioned my own sexuality because [when] I was a teenager or a pre-teen, I felt like I was attracted to girls, and I got to experiment with that in prison.” She mentioned, “I think I’ve kissed more girls than I have guys.”

Blanchard was incarcerated for eight years for her involvement in her mother Dee Dee Blanchard’s death and was released in December 2023.

Before her release, she wed Ryan Anderson in July 2022. Following issues with Anderson’s behavior like “food hoarding” and snoring, she publicly announced their separation in March. Blanchard proceeded to file for divorce on April 8, promptly requesting a restraining order a few days later.

Shortly after the divorce announcement, Blanchard was seen with her former fiancé Ken Urker. Confirming their reunion on April 30, Blanchard expressed to TMZ the undeniable bond she shares with Urker, elaborating, “We are together and in a wonderful place in our relationship. We know it is going to be a long road ahead but are excited for the future.”

Blanchard and Urker had been engaged from 2018 to 2020. Recently, Blanchard mentioned Urker’s plans to relocate to Louisiana to be closer to her.

Despite considering Urker her “soulmate,” Blanchard emphasized that she doesn't want to rush into anything serious presently. She shared at Lifetime’s event in Los Angeles, “But I don’t want to move too fast because, you know, I want to pace myself. I don’t want to put expectations and make things too heavy. We’re just basically enjoying our time together and, you know, hopeful for what the future has.”
