Heartstopper star Bradley Riches announces engagement

On Tuesday (9 April), Riches joyfully shared news of his engagement to Scott Johnston, expressing amazement at finding someone who truly understands and loves him for who he is. He reflected on past difficulties in expressing emotions within relationships until Scott came into his life, bringing feelings of safety, acceptance, and love.

According to ‘Gay Times’, Riches celebrated the occasion with charming photos of the couple, set against a backdrop of flower petals arranged into a heart, while affirming his everlasting love for Johnston.
The engagement announcement received an outpouring of support, with ‘Heartstopper’ actors Corinna Brown and Bel Priestly, among other celebrities like ‘Drag Race UK’s’ Vanity Milan and Danny Beard, ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ host AJ Odudu, and ‘Strictly Come Dancing’s’ Layton Williams, extending their congratulations.
Riches is celebrated for his portrayal of James McEwan in ‘Heartstopper’, evolving into a key figure as Isaac’s (Tobie Donovan) romantic interest in the show’s second season. He is anticipated to reprise his role in the upcoming third season of the widely praised Netflix teen drama, set to premiere in October.
