Lesbian Visibility Week is a key time to recognise queer women’s experiences, celebrate their achievements, and push workplaces to do better. This year, myGwork took part through community events, thought-leadership panels, and practical resources designed to create real change for queer women at work.
Below is a round-up of what myGwork did to commemorate Lesbian Visibility Week 2026 - and how you can build on this work by downloading our guide, Supporting Queer Women in the Workplace: A Practical Guide for Leaders, HR Professionals, and Colleagues.
For the third year in a row, myGwork sponsored the official Lesbian Visibility Week Closing Party.
This annual sponsorship helps:
By returning as sponsor each year, myGwork is committing to long-term support for lesbian and queer women’s community spaces, joy, and professional connections.
As part of the week, myGwork also sponsored and attended the DIVA Awards- one of the UK’s leading events celebrating LGBTQ+ women and non-binary people in media, business, sport, politics, and activism.
Through this sponsorship, myGwork helps to:
The DIVA Awards create visibility for queer women’s leadership and impact, while myGwork’s presence bridges that recognition with opportunities in inclusive workplaces.
To coincide with Lesbian Visibility Week 2026, myGwork partnered with the Financial Times on a virtual event, Pride at Home & at Work: LGBTQ+ Family Life at the Financial Times.
This session focused on LGBTQ+ parenting and family life in today’s workplace. LGBTQ+ professionals at the FT shared:
For lesbian and queer women, these conversations reflect how both gender and sexuality shape their experience of work, benefits, and career progression. The panel offered real stories and lessons that employers can adapt to their own contexts.
You can read a reflection on the panel here.
Within the myGwork community, we hosted a dedicated Lesbian Visibility Week panel, Queer Women in Leadership, featuring influential queer women across sectors.
The discussion explored:
Participants came away with practical ideas for how individuals and organisations can clear pathways for queer women into leadership, and make sure they thrive once they get there.

Events are powerful, but real change relies on what organisations do every day. To help leaders, HR teams, and colleagues put inclusion into practice, myGwork has created Supporting Queer Women in the Workplace: A Practical Guide for Leaders, HR Professionals, and Colleagues.
This guide is designed to help you:
If your organisation is serious about improving the experience of queer women - during Lesbian Visibility Week and throughout the year - this guide is a practical place to start.
