“I’m Straight, My Love”: Adele Respectfully Turns Down Queer Fan’s Proposal

It doesn’t look like Adele is going to be getting engaged to a fan anytime soon.

At one of her recent ‘Weekends with Adele’ shows in Las Vegas, the ‘Chasing Pavements’ singer politely declined a marriage proposal from an LGBTQ+ person in the audience, as ‘Gay Times’ reports.

“You can’t marry me, I’m straight, my love,” she said. “And my husband’s here tonight. He’s here.”

When asked by the fan if she wanted to “try” being a lesbian, Adele jokingly responded: “No, I don’t want to try. I’m with Rich, You’re crazy, leave me alone!”

The star has been linked to sports agent Rich Paul since 2021, though Adele’s reference to him as her “husband” left many fans reeling.

“HUSBAND?????” one wrote on Twitter.

Another asked: “Did Adele secretly get married?”

“Wait, mother Adele is married?” a third said.

Adele is yet to publicly confirm whether or not she is married beyond the comment made at her show.

‘Weekends with Adele’ is set to end on 4 November after a run of 68 shows, all of which took place on Friday and Saturday nights.
