In Conversation with lululemon's Taslim Vastani, Vice President, Procurement

August 13, 2025

Taslim Vastani, Vice President of Global Procurement shares more about the future of procurement at lululemon, her passions, and her proudest moment at the company in the below interview.

We put ourselves in their shoes to better understand the root of what we are solving for — together!

Tell us a little bit about your team.

I am grateful to be leading our Global Procurement team here at lululemon. Our team leads the entire procurement cycle from sourcing to the final contract execution with a supplier for all non-product goods and services.

We are focused on strategically sourcing everything from hangers and fixtures, to consulting and facilities services. We deliver value and mitigate risk by partnering closely with stakeholders to marry their business objective with the best-fit sourcing strategy. We put ourselves in their shoes to better understand the root of what we are solving for — together!

How long have you worked here?

1.5 years! Feels like home here, so it feels like I’ve been here for a long time!

Can you share more about the goals you have for the team?

Global Procurement is continuing to focus on creating and evolving our strategic partnership with both our internal stakeholder community but also externally our supplier community. It has been an exciting journey so far and I’m looking forward to our future in stakeholder-centric and strategic procurement.

What drew you to lululemon?

The opportunity to be a change maker in an organization as inclusive as lululemon isn’t something I have experienced in a leadership capacity before, and this was a major driver in my interest! Once I spoke to more people throughout the recruitment process, it was solidified for me that the people at lululemon “live the values.” As the cherry on top, these values align deeply to my personal values, so it was a no brainer.

What is something you are passionate about, either in your career or outside of it?

Both personally and professionally, I am passionate about empowering others in unlocking their definition of success and aligning that definition to their core values and their own passions. When planning for our future, we often consider our professional aspirations in isolation from personal goals or passions, and I get excited when I can help people bring the two together.

What do you love about working here?

Two words. Connection and collaboration. Oh, and two more words. Fast and fun!

What has been your greatest lesson from working at lululemon?

The power of connection. I am a people-first leader by nature and live this philosophy. To see how connection comes to life at lululemon after I joined, was a great lesson for me as I was able to see who I am as a leader in the way we work.

What has been your proudest moment and/or project to date that you’ve worked on during your time at lululemon?

I wouldn’t say it’s a specific project, but my proudest moment has been seeing (and feeling) our evolution strategy come to life. Being part of the shift in how our business stakeholder community views Procurement, seeing us called upon for strategic advice, along with being viewed as a true partner in value delivery, supplier management and risk mitigation has been nothing short of amazing. We have an incredible team and fantastic business partners!
