Industry visit: Mine Management Degree Apprenticeship

A group of degree apprenticeship students, already working in underground operations across the UK, have visited Imerys and Imerys British Lithium Limited operations today.

The students gained valuable insights into Imerys' diverse mining operations in Cornwall. The students visited LittleJohns Pit to learn about the Kaolin operations, followed by a trip to Imerys British Lithium's new Gunheath site and tour of the Laboratories in Par Moor Centre by Jonathan Phipps.

This visit provided a unique opportunity to witness different mining practices firsthand, guided by Camborne School of Mines, University of Exeter industry alumni , Manuel Beiro-Romero and Glen Heather. This exposure aims to broaden the students' understanding of the sector and connect them with experienced professionals.
