Jeremy Hunt Voices Strong Support For LGBT-Inclusive Lessons

Jeremy Hunt, one of the candidates currently vying for the UK Prime Ministership, has strongly put his support behind LGBT-inclusive lessons at a hustings event last Saturday.

“For me, being gay is like being left-handed, it’s something you’re born with, and it’s not something you choose, it’s not something you can change. And that’s why we need to recognise every child needs to understand that,” he said to a cheering crowd.

“We have to leave no stone unturned in making sure that every school, including faith schools, is making sure that we get the right messages across to our children.”

Hunt has consistent voting record when it comes to LGBT+ rights, voting for both the Equality Act and same sex marriage.

He received a standing ovation from Conservative party members for his comments.
