Joe Locke Joins The Cast Of Marvel’s Agatha: Coven Of Chaos

Joe Locke is to join the Marvel Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to Variety, the British actor has been cast alongside Kathryn Hahn in the upcoming WandaVision spin-off, Agatha: Coven of Chaos.

Details of the series are scarce, including the character Locke will play. Emma Caulfield Ford, known for Buffy the Vampire Slayer, who will reprise her role as Dottie from WandaVision, is the only other confirmed cast member, according to Gay Times.

Locke memorably rose to global superstardom earlier this year as Charlie in Netflix’s queer teen drama Heartstopper, based on the beloved webcomic and graphic novel of the same name from Alice Oseman. For his performance as Charlie, Locke received widespread critical acclaim and was nominated for Rising Star at the National Television Awards.

Posting news of his casting on Instagram, Locke said he “screamed” when he received an email stating “welcome to the Marvel universe.”

Kit Connor, Locke's Heartstopper co-star celebrated the announcement on his Instagram Story, writing: “I said he was going to take over the world. I wasn’t kidding.”

Agatha: Coven of Chaos was confirmed to be in the works in November 2021 with Jac Schaefer, head writer and executive producer on WandaVision, returning in both roles.
