Katie Hopkins Posts Insensitive Tweet About Trans Day of Remembrance

November 20, 2018

Katie Hopkins, the controversial former MailOnline columnist, has posted an insensitive tweet about Transgender Day of Remembrance, a day meant to mourn the trans lives lost over the last year.

This year the trans community is mourning 310 victims from across the world.

“Today is #TransDayOfRemembrance,” Katie Hopkins tweeted on the 20th of November.

“Most people will be wearing red testicles. But I am wearing mine white as a symbol of cis-testicular peace. #RockOnCowboys”

Her tweet was followed by a slew of anti-trans remarks from her followers, claiming that trans people needed “psychiatric help.”

“If you just opened up your mind a teeny tiny bit and read what it’s about, perhaps you’d refrain from posting such juvenile tweets in the context of people dying every day because of lack of tolerance,” wrote one twitter user in response.
