September 25, 2024

The prestigious Heroes Executives Role Model List 2024 by Involve, supported by YouTube, has just been published and we are delighted to share that Kumsal has been ranked 3 in the Top 100 global women executives.

This global ranking showcases leaders who are breaking down barriers and shattering the glass ceiling for women within global business. Kumsal's inclusion in this list is evidence of her dedication and commitment to building a culture of inclusion at Elsevier and supporting positive change by advancing inclusion and diversity in research and healthcare.

The first woman CEO in Elsevier's 144-year history, Kumsal has put inclusion at the heart of our business strategy, with clear targets. Under her leadership, and with the commitment and dedication of many leaders and colleagues across our organisation, we are driving accountability and practical action across different dimensions of diversity, with tangible progress.

Congratulations Kumsal on this well-deserved recognition! It is a proud moment for all of us at Elsevier.
