Lesbian Couple Get Engaged – and a Shout Out from JK Rowling – at Fantastic Beasts Event

A lesbian couple had a very Harry Potter engagement last night at an event promoting Fantastic Beasts.

Steph Bennett, 26, proposed to her girlfriend Emily Scouler, 25, at the Wizarding World Wands in the City of London. Bennett proposed surrounded by several huge illuminated wands, both wearing Harry Potter scarfs. Scouler said yes and a large crowd applauded them on.

Rowling then took to twitter to personally congratulate the two.
