LGBTQ+ Londoners Needed for Oxford University Study

As part of a study exploring how LGBTQ+ people experience everyday life in London, Alfie Davis, an undergraduate student at the School of Geography and the Environment is looking for LGBTQ+ people to take part in the survey. With main topics including: How LGBTQ+ people interact with the public and others while walking; When, where and why LGBTQ+ people walk in certain places across London, and How LGBTQ+ people feel and use their bodies while walking, the study hopes to ascertain how LGBTQ+ people use, experience and feel walking around London City.

Alfie Davis will be conducting what is known as ‘go-along’ interviews, which involve the researcher walking with the participant for 1-2 hours, interviewing them while doing so. All information will be pseudonymised. Photos, of locations + participants, may be taken in this time, with participant permission.

Requirements:

- Aged 18+

- Identifies within the LGBTQ+ community

- Currently lives/spends day-to-day life in London.

The findings of the research will ultimately be used to help produce a 12,000-word report so that the researcher can fulfil the requirements of their undergraduate Geography (BA) degree.
