Logan Paul Explains Controversial Gay Comments: “Being Gay is Cool to Me”

January 21, 2019

YouTube personality Logan Paul has defended the controversial comments he made in his podcast last week about being gay, reports Dexerto.

He had previously said that it was his New Years’ resolution to “go gay for a month”, comments that immediately caused an intense online backlash.

“Logan Paul joking about being gay “for one month” while countless LGBT+ around the world are killed & committing suicide for their sexuality, is disgusting,” one user tweeted.

“He continues to be an awful representation of the YouTube community & shows he truly has learned NOTHING over the last year.”

In a new podcast, Paul sat down with Air Force veteran and LGBT+ activist Josh Seefried, who had previously criticised Paul for what he had said.

“Sexuality is so fluid nowadays, I don’t even think twice about talking about being gay. I don’t give a shit. …being gay is cool to me,” Paul said.

“There is nothing more beautiful than being yourself.”
