London Trans+ Pride 2024 date confirmed with slogan ‘Justice and Liberation’
April 15, 2024London Trans+ Pride has declared its 2024 event date, marking the event’s sixth anniversary.
The organisers shared via an Instagram post on Friday (April 12) that the 2024 London Trans+ Pride will take place on Saturday, July 27.
As ‘Yahoo! News’ writes, with the slogan “Justice + Liberation,” the organisers are calling for participants to gather at London’s Trafalgar Square at 1 pm, urging them to “wear masks” and “carry signs”. The previous year’s demonstration saw an estimated attendance of over 25,000 people, who assembled at Trafalgar Square before marching towards Wellington Arch.

Notably, Yasmin Finney of Heartstopper fame and model Munroe Bergdorf led chants and delivered speeches to the attendees during the day.
Additionally, Dan Harry from the BBC’s ‘I Kissed A Boy’ criticised the government and media for their approach towards the trans community, reassuring trans youth with the message, “We have got your back; we are here to support you. We will be here as much as we possibly can. There’s no LGB without the T.”
The announcement of London Trans+ Pride 2024 occurs at a particularly challenging time for the trans+ community in the UK, especially in light of the recently released Cass review. This significant report examines the state of gender-affirming care for trans individuals in England.
While opinions on the review are divided, Stonewall has expressed concerns that it “might create new hindrances blocking children and young people from receiving the necessary and deserved care.”
This announcement followed shortly after NHS England’s decision to halt puberty blockers for children.
