London’s First Trans+ Pride is Happening!

For the first time ever London will host a Pride march to celebrate and protest for trans, non-binary, intersex and gender non-conforming individuals, on Saturday 14 September 2019.

As well as a celebration, this Trans+ Pride aims to address and protest discrimination issues that continue to rise globally whether it is transphobia around the globe or Trump’s administration trying to strip-off rights.

Lucia Blayke, founder of London Trans+ Pride and trans activist stated: “London has never seen a mass gathering of trans people on its streets,” and she adds: “We are marching to be visible to trans people across the world who don’t have communities and to the TERFs that hijacked Pride in London 2018: we are here, there are thousands of us and we are proud.”

The Trans+ Pride is to assemble at Wellington Arch (Hyde Park Corner, W1J 7JZ) at 13:00 and the march is set to commence at 13:30, ending in Soho Square, the heart of Londons LGBT+ community.
