Morrisons to Sell Valentine’s Day Rainbow Roses in Support of LGBT+ Homeless Youth

February 7, 2019

British supermarket chain Morrisons is partnering with The Albert Kennedy Trust this Valentine’s Day to sell rainbow roses in support of homeless LGBT youth, reports The Sun.

Rainbow roses will be for sale for 50p per rose at all Morrisons stores starting February 11. Each petal of the rose has been dyed a different colour by a florist so it has the appearance of a rainbow.

“We’re stocking rainbow roses this Valentine’s Day for the first time. They’ve been designed to celebrate love,” said Drew Kirk, Produce Category Manager at Morrisons.

“We’re delighted to partner with Morrisons on their Rainbow Rose campaign for Valentine’s Day,” added Albert Kennedy Trust director of fundraising Carrie Reiner.

“As the national LGBT+ youth homelessness charity, we are always looking to raise awareness and raise vital funds to support the work we do to provide safe homes and support to young people who face homelessness just for being brave enough to come out to their families and communities.”
